About Grandmas’ Stocking Guild
Grandmas’ Stocking Guild is forever changing lives!
Grandmas’ Stocking Guild was formed in 2009 in response to the need to ‘do something’ to help abused and neglected children in the Texas Hill country.
We began by furnishing 60 stockings to New Life in Canyon Lake, a residential home for girls aged 12-17. In December 2014, we became a 501(c)(3) organization. We now give out more and more stockings each year. The children are THRILLED with their stockings. One little girl slept with hers every night. The girls at New Life Children’s Center hang theirs on their doors – until long after Christmas.
A parent recently remarked:
“My goodness! I literally almost cried. These stockings are beyond beautiful and just so precious! We will hold on to them forever. THANK YOU! The boys absolutely loved them and are so thankful!”
Each stocking has a label on the back saying “Made with Love by Grandma”, a cross on the front, and most important, each child’s name will appear on the cuff. It is theirs forever!
We are based in Central Texas: in New Braunfels, Seguin, San Marcos, Boerne, Wimberley and Schertz.
We welcome people who like to sew to help us. Come to one of our workshops and pick up a kit to take home or stay and work with us there.

Comal Family Protective Services (CFPS)
Works with communities to protect children, the elderly, and people with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Works to protect the health and safety of children in daycare, as well as foster care and other types of 24-hour care.
Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA)
Is a 501(c)3 nonprofit agency providing comprehensive residential care and counseling services to children needing a safe place to live. Words such as abandoned, forgotten, throwaway, abused, neglected, runaway, exploited, trafficked, and violated describe the children served. While they have been deeply harmed, at RMYA they find protection, healing, and transformation. RMYA teaches children to dream again!
Guardians of the Children (GOC) and Von Ormy Chapter
Is exactly what their name suggests. They selflessly give their time, talents and treasures to show support and love to a group of children who are desperately in need of them.
St Jude’s Ranch for Children in Bulverde. SJRC Texas
Cares for children and families who have been affected by trauma, abuse or neglect.
Legacy Ranch – New in 2024 The Legacy Ranch organization is a non-profit Licensed Foster Care and Adoption agency that finds loving and caring homes for children who have been abused, neglected or exploited. Legacy Ranch provides extensive foster parent training and licensing with no fees every 6 to 8 weeks on Saturdays.
Thriving Hearts Crisis Center – New in 2024. THCC is dedicated to creating a safe space where all survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault receive the highest quality services and are treated with respect and dignity.
Guadalupe Country Children’s Advocacy Center – New in 2024 The GCCAC is a non-profit agency serving children and families when there are allegations of child abuse and neglect, alongside partners in law enforcement, Child Protective Services, prosecution, CASA, mental health professionals, and medical professionals.
Children’s Advocacy Center of Comal County – New in 2024 The mission of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Comal County, Inc. (CACCC) is to provide a neutral, child-friendly facility to the community that facilitates a multidisciplinary approach in the prevention, detection, investigation and treatment of child abuse.
